I've been enjoying reading a lot of the threads and articles. One of the FAQ articles about competing by a guy who I guess is considered and expert about contests said, "Oiling up is not required and sometimes is not allowed."
That surprised the hell out of me. Why and when would it not be allowed? Has anyone ever been in, or been to, a contest where oiling up was not allowed?
I've always liked the look of a heavy oil job; I think I'd find both the men and women unappealing in bright stage lights without oil.
