Hello all,
I have been lurking the forums for some time now. I have recently passed Exam P/1 and plan to sit for FM/2 in a few months. I understand as a career changer that I may need to pass at least one more exam before being taken seriously, but I figured I would throw a few lines out to see if anything bites anyway.
One of the negatives on my resume is that I left a Ph.D. program after one year. This was after my wife and I had our first child, and I was sick of making sub 20k/year while busting my ass as a graduate student. So I took the first job I could find making 40k+ (which happened to be teaching physics at a tech. college). Does this need addressing in my cover letter? or should I not draw attention to this and wait until the interview?
Thanks so much. Cheers.
