All day the smoke detectors in my neighbors house have been beeping, loud enough so you can hear it outside (easily). We went over to their house just now, but nobody was home (no surprise, how anyone could stand that noise is beyond me). There is a light on in the basement, and several vehicles parked in the driveway.
