Universal RF Remote

So many devices are going RF instead of IR for their remotes. Most streaming boxes, the new DirectTv receiver (can be either), etc. This is good! RF is objectively better. However I am back in remote clutter hell. Is there a true RF universal option? I know the newer Harmony ones have RF but my understanding is that the RF only goes to the Logitech receiver which then sends an IR command instead of communicating directly with RF devices. Halp?
