Based on median salary data and adjusted for cost of living, it seems Austin TX is the best place financially to be an Actuary. Can anyone else speak to this? Why are salaries in Austin so much higher?
I assume that because this profession is small that the presence of a certain company or a couple of companies can greatly skew the data from city to city. Is it that there is more consulting in Austin and that consultants make more or what?
