Not sure how much I do on here, but I do it a lot IRL. Especially with my gf. Of course it doesn't work with her, because rather than answering my questions, she just repeats her incorrect, illogical stance.
I shouldn't say that. It works sometimes. And sometimes I win an argument that way, and she doesn't have anything to say, but holds her view, against the undeniable logic that I have laid out before her.
Not to throw her under the bus. Plenty of people do that. I'll ask them questions that of they answer, the logic of my view would be clear, and they essentially just refuse to answer my question. And reiterate their illogical position.
It really should be more effective than it is. But that's just because some people just refuse to actually answer. Or ignore the logic that is laid out in front of them by their own answers. Its surprise how often I use it to draw out contradictions in the other persons view that they fail to acknowledge or justify.
Anyway, do you use it? What's your experience?
