Revised Resume

jeudi 25 septembre 2014

Hi everyone,

Thanks again for your comments before. I made some edits and threw away a bunch of fluff. I do think it looks much cleaner.

I listed some activities because I saw some other people doing it but am not sure if I have the room. I have chess in there because its analytical but I have no official rating (probably 1800 est.). I also put the policy brief in there because I stopped my TA position to do it. I can also say I'm a blood donor and I used to volunteer at the library to tutor but haven't this year because I was busy but am thinking of starting again at the local library here. Not sure if these would be good to list also: Basketball/weightlifting/running/swimming. I use the slash because I will only do one of those at a time.

In my programming section, I say I "automated the process of searching and purchasing underpriced goods in a video game" as an example of something that I did. I pretty much made the first generation of an auction house bot for Diablo 3. It was crude but it worked well and made about 1-2 million gold/hr. The next best program could only earn 100,000/hr. But I feel a bit silly to say I made this program just for a game. Also, I was implementing OCR and GUI for my program but I received a cease and desist from their VP of legal affairs. Kind of scary.
