I am the new author of the ACTEX CAS 9 Study Guide 2015. I also authored the ACTEX CAS 8 Study Guide for 2014.
The original Part 10 when I took it a "few" years ago was interesting but not my favorite. To my surprise, I very much enjoyed the current syllabus and going over the 2014 exam questions before adding them. I also updated other parts of the manual originally written by Peter J. Murzda, Jr., FCAS, ASA and updated previously by Chris Van. Kooten, FCAS, FCIA.
I think you will find the outlines and wealth of exam problems helpful in preparing for this exam.
