I borrowed a copy of Porter that is copyright 2008. This appears to match the syllabus. However, the syllabus says things like "excluding 2.19-2.29", when Chapter 2 only goes to 2.28. And, it says "excluding 3.21-3.25" when Chapter 3 goes through 3.26, but all 3.26 contains is half of the list of Chapter Notes and I doubt very much that should be included when the first half of Chapter Notes is excluded.
This raises the question, is my book old and does it not quite match the syllabus? Or, did the CAS just do a terrible job of proofreading what they put on the syllabus? In other words, did any of you purchase it new relatively recently and still have the same issue?
And, assuming my books is correct, how do you deal with things where 3.20 is included but 3.21 is excluded, yet an itemized list starts on 3.20 and continues onto 3.21? Do you continue on to 3.21 until the end of the next section? Or do you literally exclude 3.21? Or, in Chapter 6, if 6.17 is included but 6.18 is not, what do you do with the section "Licensing Priority and Process", which takes up 2/3 of the page 6.17 and 3/4 of the page 6.18?
