Actuarial Analyst - Aon Exchange Solutions
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst - Aon Exchange Solutions to support the market leading Private Healthcare Exchange developed by Aon Hewitt.
Position Overview:
Support the Aon Active Health Exchange sales and renewal process by collecting data, analyzing medical bids, and assisting senior actuaries, sales executives, and client executives with delivering financial results. Interact with various organizational stakeholders, including the plan design team and the benefits administration teams.
The location is flexible (any Aon Hewitt office or virtual) and may require a small amount of travel to support sales and renewal meetings, and for training purposes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Data collection and review: feasibility studies; annual RFP process
- Checking and quality control
- Data & presentation formatting
- Risk Adjustment calculations and checking
- Financial modeling (including quality review) of medical and dental quoted rates vs. self-insured projections
- Initial bid analysis (including actuarial value modeling) to assist with the negotiation process
- Data analytics support
- Assistance with Defined Contribution modeling
- Implementation support to benefits administration teams
- Miscellaneous support
- Participation in Health & Benefits practice sponsored and external training, to grow consulting acumen
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics & Business, or related fields
- Progress towards FSA/ASA designation (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or Associate of the Society of Actuaries)
- At least one year of health and welfare experience (carrier or employer consulting) preferred
- General understanding of the health insurance field and the healthcare reform legislation
