If 1,000 years from now, someone completely recreates your genetic code/consciousness + memories, would you consider that to be 'you'?
Would it impact your response if the time scale before recreation (assuming after death) is less?
Is this tangibly different than sleeping and waking up? What about being dead, but then being resuscitated through existing technology?
I wish I were religious, sometimes. It seems so nice believing in an afterlife. Oblivion is rather terrifying. Really hoping to get recreated in the future, and my oblivion will just be a long sleep.
