Question about FM study pattern

mardi 10 mars 2015

Hello everyone:notworth::notworth: I'm going to sit in Exam FM in June. But now I have problems on choosing the best study pattern. I have attended a class which teaches interest theory in my university and will end in late April. Our instructor told us this class will cover the financial mathematics part in FM. Now I'm using Financial Mathematics for Actuaries updated version by Wai-Sum Chan. Besides I have ASM manual and Derivatives Markets third edition in hand but haven't read them yet. Please help me choose the most feasible and efficient study pattern:-o:-o

For FM part, should I keep using the textbook or the ASM manual? Or should I mixed them up such as reading the content of the textbook and using ASM only for solving problems and learning tips?

For DM part, is it possible to finish it in merely one month (I want to study DM part after I finish the course)? Or should I start the DM part now? Which one is more recommended, the DM textbook or ASM?

My plan is to finish the contents before June so I have approximately two weeks for sample questions and two TIA free exams.

Thank you:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
