Note that I'm Canadian, but I do like to follow American politics. It seems that the Republican party keeps getting dragged further and further to the right by its (crazy?) base. But with a two party system, who do people go to when they are pissed at the Dems? It's kind of a sad state of affairs. Not that our system in Canada is much better, but our politics is certainly a lot less polarized.
Obama is not a popular president, so this doesn't fare well for the Democrats in 2016, even with Hilary at the helm. Personally, I'm scared of who the Republicans might nominate though. If they're smart, they'll nominate someone who is reasonable moderate, but who knows.
