First, I went back and forth on where to post this. It's a sports article, but I have a feeling discussion will delve more into political (maybe because of the direction I take). Anyway, I put it in political - someone can discuss the shot clock aspects in their own Sports thread.

I'm not trying to be critical of Obama specifically (in this case), but how does any sitting president have enough time to watch enough NBA and college basketball to have this much insight (even naming what multiple teams are doing)? Or is he fed most of these ideas.
I have kids and a job that doesn't demand much "OT" and I don't have time to watch many games besides following my college teams. I always thought presidents had full days of work, tons of meetings, etc., that often went beyong normal working hours. I know they need to relax, too. But when it appears that the holder of this office watches more sports than the average Joe, it makes me wonder (but, hey, I like to wonder).
And did he really mean "minimum" above? I wonder if that's a "W" moment that won't get caught/talked about like some of the Bushisms.
