Job Title: Senior Actuarial Analyst
Department: Risk Management
Reports To: Senior Pricing Actuary
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: Responsible for analyzing statistical data and constructing probability tables to forecast risk and liability by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Compiles and prepares monthly exposure and actuarial data from multiple sources.
2. Verifies data quality, data validity, and data completeness and recommends improvements to reduce uncertainty.
3. Assists in the calculation of both probabilistic and deterministic loss projections as needed, but not less than monthly.
4. Analyzes model generated output, including differences between multiple models and sources of uncertainty.
5. Analyzes monthly output for trends including clustering risk assessments.
6. Documents processes to ensure data integrity.
7. Prepares regular management reports, including modeling results, exposure analysis, and mapping.
8. Evaluates alternative reinsurance cessions, and retentions and model financial impact.
9. Calculate, develop and/or maintain processes to assist in preparation of profit studies, reserve programs, rate files, and other analysis and functions.
10. Provide clear and concise communication of technical actuarial work to technical and non-technical audiences.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
12. Assists in the underwriting and evaluation of certain risks.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of catastrophe modeling software, word processing software, spreadsheet software, internet software, project management software, database software, and contact management systems.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university and or two to four years relevant experience.
Certificates and Licenses: Completion of three actuarial exams preferred.
