Hello All - I have a df question on Chi Squared situation:
Suppose we have the actual observed numbers and assume the Null Hypothesis is that we have a uniform emphirical distribution - say that for simplicity we have 5 categories. So for each the H 0 is 0.2 at each. How many df does this have ?
My answer is 5 -1 = 5 for the categories and -1 since we have the H 0 assumed to be 0.2 each. Am I doing something wrong here ?
