When people sp[end zero time trying to under the context of a subject then make some assumption out of thin air and respond to that, completely missing the point.
Examples:
A) I went to the store yesterday and the lines were so long I just left me shopping cart and went home.
Turns into ...
Why would you leave Ice Cream in your cart when you know it will melt or someone will get sick. Having not been at the store you were at I still know I could have told exactly how long the line would have been when I got there, and also not having been there I know the wait would not have been very long and the store was doing all they could.
B) Don't you hate it when someone makes plans with you then when the time comes they act like they had no idea they made the plans.
Turn into ...
It doesn't sound like plans were actually made, but only assumed that if you weren't both busy maybe you would still do that. And you know that because you were not part of the conversation?
C) Complete inability to understand anything except minor details and harp on that again completely missing the point.
Turns into ..
Before you said lunch now you didn't. Since you used lunch as an example before and now you are using working out I have to treat it as 2 totally different topics. Because generalized examples are not something I deal with.
And because once I saw the word lunch I lost the ability to respond in general.
