So, my friend was saving up for a car and now doesn't want a car, and instead wants to invest her money. So not knowing anything about finances at all, she wants to give me all her money (~$8,000) so I can invest it for her. So basically she wants nothing to do with it and wants the money in my accounts so I can fiddle around with it because she can't be bothered. So my question is, is this allowed? Do I have to classify this "income" as a gift, or get a broker's license or something? I'd rather show her how to do it herself but she's being difficult. Wat do AO?
