In this thread, I will act as deity's advocate, and defend Islam against all comers, using arguments that I hear all the time, both from Muslims and from non Muslims. Please feel free to join in on whatever side you like.
Please regard all my posts here as if they were in quotes (I may put them as such anyway) and in some cases, red font.
I'll start with:

- If Islam really were violent, with > 1.5 billion followers, don't you think very many more non Muslims would be dead by now?
