So my friends are having a party tomorrow for their kid's first birthday. No one is pretending that it's not just a reason for the adults to get together and eat and drink. But still, I feel like I should bring a gift for the kid (he's a boy). They are financially well off and have lots of doting family, so the kid has every possible thing a baby could want or need.
