I am currently in an actuarial position and am looking at other opportunities outside of actuarial work that do not have a "directory" for cold emailing. How would you approach finding people on LinkedIn that might be connected to that position without seeming creepy and more importantly how would you conduct a cold email through LinkedIn?
For example, if I see an opening for position XYZ and I find John on LinkedIn who works in position XYZ or is a manager in that group, how should I approach the message?
