Hi, I'm taking exam P in about a week and today I just did a practice test using an official calculator for the first time. I chose the Ti BA II Plus.
and WOW did it slow me down a TON. It took me like 3x as long to do problems I was able to very quickly do before with my graphing calculator using its store functions and ability to use parentheses.
Did I make a bad choice of calculator or are they all like this? What calculator do you recommend?
The official allowed calculators according to SOA are:
Ti BA-35
Ti BA II Plus
Ti BA II Plus professional
Ti 30Xa
Ti 30Xa II (IIS solar or IIB battery)
Ti 30XS Multiview (or XB battery)
I would really like to be able to compute things like say (45*.08/3)+(28e^3)/4 - (56.67*3) in one swoop. Or at the very least be able to store values in memory in just 1 or 2 button presses, rather than a million.
