Let X1, X2,...,Xn be iid Uniform on (0,1). Let Yn be the minimum of X1,...Xn. Find the cdf of Yn.
This is the answer:
FYn(x) = P(Yn<=x) = 1-P(Yn>x) = 1-P(X1>x)...P(Xn>x)
Why would P(Yn<=x) not be equal to 1? Yn is defined as the minimum, so obviously it is less than all other values of x. ??
