In Canada, there's a lot of hoopla about choosing funds with low MER's. The implication is that low MER's are better funds to invest in. That makes perfect sense.
But.
Does anyone know if it's actually been shown statistically that lower MER funds perform better for consumers?
If not, any thoughs on what it would take to conduct a study that looked at this?
