So, I've been looking at a bunch of websites for insurance companies up here in Canada. Almost all of them have a "careers" section where they go on about how awesome it would be to work for this company, etc., and they also list current job opportunities.
In order to apply, you often have to set up an account and submit your info online. I've seen a lot of people recommend bypassing this process by emailing your cover letter/resume directly to specific people.
Is this a good or a bad idea?
