Invited to 2nd Interview, but no Contact?

I had a great interview Monday with a hiring manager and in the end he asked if I was available to come in Tuesday or Wednesday for another interview. I of course said yes, in which he said either himself or his assistant would contact me. Hence, I was expecting him to contact me Tuesday to come in for a second interview. However, there has been no contact thus far. I sent a thank you email a few hours after the interview so I was hoping he'd reply to it with a confirmation.



He flew in from Seattle and is staying in my city for 3 days for interviews - The interview schedule was either Friday, Monday or Tuesday.



Has this ever happened to anyone? He included Wednesday as a possible interview date, but he's not interviewing on Wednesday so I'm not sure. I'm assuming he was impressed if he were to offer me a 2nd interview right at the spot, but maybe that wasn't the case.

During the call, “President Obama also reiterated U.S. concerns about Egypt’s continued imprisonment of non-violent activists and mass trials,” and “encouraged increased respect for freedom of speech and assembly and emphasized that these issues remain a focus for the United States.” To read that is to feel the sincerity and potency of those presidential words. The move comes as the U.S. is also heavily supporting the Saudi-led bombing campaign in Yemen, also involving some of the region’s worst tyrants (also known as: the U.S.’s closest allies). So the U.S. is, as usual, standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the region’s most oppressive regimes, whose survival at least partially depends on the abundant U.S. largesse they receive, once again provoking that age-old mystery: Why do they hate us? Obama’s move is as unsurprising as it is noxious, as American political elites — from Bill and Hillary Clinton to Henry Kissinger and Madeleine Albright — along with the Israeli Right have been heaping praise on Sisi the way they did for decades on Mubarak. (“I really consider President and Mrs. Mubarak to be friends of my family,” said Hillary Clinton in 2009. “So I hope to see him often here in Egypt and in the United States.”) Who is more tragically propagandized: those who actually believe that U.S. foreign policy is motivated by a desire to spread freedom and democracy for women, gays, and human beings generally, or those who scoff with unbridled contempt whenever the suggestion is made with a straight face?

Top Down and Bottom Up discount rates

I've seen a couple of exam questions on Top down vs bottom up interest rates for IFRS. The PWC guide to IFRS has one set of formulas for discount rates, while the IASB staff paper has a set of formulas that is slightly different.



IASB has the following formulas:



Top down: risky asset yield - credit risk - liquidity risk +- timing differences

Bottom up: risk-free yield + factors relevant to insurance cash flows



PWC gives the following formulas:



Top down: reference portfolio rates +- duration mismatches - expected credit losses

Bottom up: Risk free rate + liquidity premium



Are both of these sets of formulas correct? It seems like IASB has you subtract out the liquidity risk for top down, but PWC has you add in a liquidity premium for bottom up? Do these formulas reconcile?

Got some friends coming to and need an alibi for the strip club

We basically want to spend the entire 72 hours at a strip club. my wife might raise an eye brow at that. The fewer raised eye brows the better imo. Need alibis. She knows were going to the strip clubs but not that that's ALL were doing. So where else should I say we went? So far i have the local breweries. needs to be guy stuff or she might want to tag along. Which is why I have the local casino eliminated. Though I might be able to use that if I mention the strip club nearby...need iron clad alternatives here, people.

I don't get it why it multiplies 1/0.4 to the intergral part. I know q is uniformly between 0 to 0.4, and the pdf is 1/0.4. why do i need to mulitiply q's pdf?
