Stipulated: Cancer is unpleasant. Bad enough that very invasive surgery, amputation of important limbs/organs, or nearly killing yourself with poison or radiation for the *chance* of remission (I seem to understand that cancer is seldom, if ever, considered fully cured) is worthwhile.
Stipulated: Death and dead people are painful topics of conversation and thoughts for many.
