Important Dates and a New Successor

Hello,

The CAS Exam Committee will be convening to re-grade and recommend pass marks on December 8 and 9.



The CAS Exam Leadership Team and our Canadian Liaison will then be meeting to finalize the pass marks for the following exams on the following dates:



Exam LC – December 17

Exam ST – December 17

Exam 5 – December 18

Exam 6U* – December 18 (* no Canadian liaison)

Exam 6C – December 17

Exam 8 – December 17



Please expect the passing lists to be emailed at the typical time (3:00-3:30 p.m. EST) on the day after the pass marks have been determined.



This means that all results will be out by Friday, December 19.



Going forward, William Wilder will be your new Chair of the Examination Committee.



You may start to see notes from him very soon and he will surely keep the flow of communication between the Exam Committee and the candidates at large just as I have attempted to do over the last few years.



I will not be going too far as I will be filling the role of Vice President of Admissions and leading William and his Committee to execute on the agenda of exam improvements and enhancements.
