Hey guys,
So just landed my first job. I started on Monday. Needless to say I am a bit nervous, especially after today's meeting with my boss who seems to expect quite a lot from me.
Previously, I did an internship at Deloitte and in this pension fund as well. I worked mainly on mortality tables and the estimation of employee benefits (IAS 19). But this morning, he talked about some models I never heard of before.
So how bad is it if I start this entry level job without all the knowledge of the world. Will they "thank me for my services" after a month? It's all rather intimidating. All these questions in my head, what if I fail? what if I can't do the projects assigned to me? There was also the pressure about how so many wanted this job but the boss picked me and had to defend his choice to his superiors so I better not screw up!
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much
Cheers!!
