Since oil prices have been so low lately, I was thinking of putting some money into an oil ETF. A cursory look gives me USO with an expense ratio of 0.45%. Does anyone know of any good oil ETF's? Any experience owning these? Any drawbacks of putting money in now? Does this seem to be a temporary decline or is this a new normal of low oil prices for the next few years (at least)?
Any insights appreciated.
Also, I would be putting in money I wouldn't need for at least a few years so I am not looking to jump in and jump out necessarily.
