Questions on timeline for taking FM exam

mercredi 12 novembre 2014

Hey so I just got the preliminary pass for P and I figured FM was the next logical step. I have absolutely no knowledge of interest theory or markets, and to be honest it seems confusing but I guess that's where everyone starts off.

I have the 2009 ASM Manual for FM, so I'll be going through that. I just wanted to know how much time studying for FM usually takes? I'm planning on taking it in February, hopefully finishing the ASM book by January then doing ADAPT/PE's till the test day.

Does this sound like a good plan? If it's too much time should I consider getting the Derivatives Market text and doing problems out of there as well?
