Tracking the school bus

So my kids are in kindergarten and ride the bus. Every other aspect of K is going really well except the bus.



Anyway, I want to be able to get a warning when the bus is about 5 minutes away.



The school bus driver will probably be happy to install whatever app on her phone.



Here is what I would like:

-Get a proximity warning when the bus is nearby. Preferably, I'd like to customize when this warning pops up (say 5 minutes away).

-Real time, duh, but seeing the actual location is optional.

-Ability for the bus driver to turn the location sharing on or off. I don't really care where she goes outside of bus hours.



I've looked at Waze, but don't know if it does all these things and I don't really have anyone to test them out with.



Seems like a simple request, but it is shockingly hard to research. Most of the Google search links when searching "school bus" in the query are for commercial systems you install in each bus.



I would need to be compatible with Android for sure (she has Android and so do I) and it would be great if it was iPhone compatible since some other parents on the route would be interested in this as well.
