What can I say? We got an easy draw today in the A/X Swiss? We had unfortunate losses to two top teams in rounds 1 and 4 which enabled us to bottom-feed after round 1 and middle-feed after round 4. In the end we tied the team that beat us in round 1 for 2nd/3rd place and 7.58.
The awards at the sectional were noticeably higher (maybe by 20%) and in some instances paid out 9 overalls in a single session game. However, I don't think I saw anyone in 7th - 9th end up with more than the section award. My pair games were 48.4%, 61.7% (2.29), 60.6% (3.19), 60.6% (1.93), and 54.6% (0.46). Finished the tournament with 15.45 or a 2.21 per session average. An average of 2.00 is always considered successful.
