I am happy to announce I've received several offers, but since this is my first full-time position, I'm new to the whole negotiating and 'starting that EL job' process.
Some background on the position: It's P&C in in the west, the team is full of great people, I'll be exposed to many lines of business, relaxed atmosphere, people don't seem overworked because of good management, I think this is a great place to start my career
The offer is below 60k, and I want to know your thoughts on that. I have 3 exams. Looking at the ranges online and doing some salary surveys, the medians I see are around 68k. I have another offer that is slightly higher and I plan to use that for negotiations, but I don't know how to approach this situation. Any tips on bumping this number up?
Of course as an EL I am very likely to take whatever they end up giving me, but I want to use this opportunity to start off a little better. The benefits just look ok. Any other factors to consider? Thanks
