I would like to reach out to the community regarding an appeal (attached) which I recently submitted for CAS Exam 6. Please only vote in the poll if you are familiar with the material.
The premise behind the appeal is established by responses from a very similar past exam question (Fall 2013 Exam 6 #6) which DID receive credit.
Fall 2013 exam #6 http://ift.tt/1zscr6M (Examiners report on page 44)
Spring 2014 exam (appealed #5c): http://ift.tt/1zscr6O (Examiners report on page 45)
The CASs response to my appeal basically repeated 2 different reason codes. I showed the paraphrased CAS responses in red in the attachment.
I would like the communitys opinion if they believe ANY component of the attachment should receive some credit.
I feel extremely frustrated and powerless. Candidates use these past exams to study. I feel the CAS is taking the easy route and looking the other way, since honoring the appeal would cause them extra work and disorder to regrade 100+ exams, and likely end up passing people (although not necessarily me) that originally had failed. I do not feel these are appropriate standards. If an answer is correct (especially by precedent) it should receive credit.
