I am not sure about the requirements for the Associate level for SOA and CAS regarding exam MLC and LC. I am planning on going the CAS route, but I am not completely sure. Are exam MLC and LC the same? I have completed the other 4 prelims and want to get LC and ST this April. If you pass LC and end up trying become an ASA, do you have to retake? Similarly, if you take MLC and try to become an ACAS, do you have to retake LC or just ST?
I may just be missing a document that explains this, but there doesn't seem to be a clear answer available. It seems to me that this should be public from both the CAS and SOA. There also are requirements about passing exam S if you haven't already passed at least ST or LC by July.
