Dear friends,
Hope you are all well. My questions are:
1-Do you strongly suggest that I get one of the required textbooks suggested on the exam FM´s syllabus? Or with the ASM Manual I will have more than enough preparation material? I just want to make sure I have all I need to prepare for the exam.
2-If you suggest to have a complementary textbook to the ASM Manual which one would be the best one in terms of the amount of material covered, whether it is easy to follow and understand, etc?
These are the texbooks suggested:
a-Broverman, S.A., Mathematics of Investment and Credit (Fifth Edition)
b-Daniel, J.W., and Vaaler, L.J.F., Mathematical Interest Theory (Second Edition), 2009, The
Mathematical Association of America
c-Kellison, S.G., The Theory of Interest (Third Edition), 2009, Irwin/McGraw-Hill
d-Ruckman, C.; and Francis, J., Financial Mathematics: A Practical Guide for Actuaries and other
Business Professionals (Second Edition), 2005, BPP Professional Education
e-Chan, Wai-Sum, and Tse, Yiu-Kuen, Financial Mathematics for Actuaries, Updated Edition, 2013,
McGraw-Hill Education (Asia)
Any help and / or guidanace will be greatly appreciated,
Best of regards,
Paul
