Hey There,
I'd appreciate anyone taking the time to critique my attached resume.
I'm currently working as an underwriting assistant for a major P&C firm. They are sponsoring me to take my actuarial tests, including fronting the costs, while providing raises and bonuses along they way. I have recently passed my first two exams. My worry now is that my exams outpace my experience. I will be taking the third exam in July. What's the longest I should take advantage of the sponsorship, while not working directly in the actuary field?
While I'm obviously looking for an opportunity internally, this resume is geared towards external opportunities. Should I be applying to only EL jobs, or would my insurance experience be enough to give me a chance at the next tier?
Please add any and all feedback you feel would be useful.
Thank you.
