Most/Least Helpful Papers

Ideally, I know we would read ALL the source material, but I have found some papers to be more useful than others. If anyone has opinions on which papers should be READ/SKIMMED/IGNORED, your opinions are appreciated:

Personally, I have not gotten to the government section yet, but otherwise:

Read:

- MOST Odomorik Chapters (I found Ch. 13, 21, 25, 30 to be less meaningful)

- NAIC Paper on IRIS (from Study Kit)

- Feldblum Papers

- Rand paper

- Mayer Brown paper

- Porter 2 (Guarantee Funds)

Not Read (Or read but would not have in hindsight):

- GAO (felt length outweighed the syllabus weight)

- Freihaut & Vendetti (read, but didn't gain anything not in TIA)

- Kucera & McCarthy (if you have industry experience with Credit Scoring there isn't much too learn here; esp if you use TIA).

- Asbestos (just skipped, seemed to be a small % on syllabus)

- SSAPs didn't seem to add much value for me

- Most of porter (I read some sections where I needed clarification, but it seemed like TIA covered just about everything in Porter, at least from the bit I flipped through)

Skim through:

- Anything not mentioned above (of all the SSAPs 62 was the one most worth reading in my opinion)

- Like I said I'm finishing up regulation pass-through, so haven't gotten to Gov't papers yet

I'd appreciate feedback, especially on papers I may have overlooked or should have taken a longer look at ... thanks!!
