So I became friends with a guy recently. I've seen a lot of cheap people in my life but this one is a totally different beast. Never tips, anywhere. Keeps a crappy decade old cell phone that sometimes doesn't function well. Never buys soda at a restaurant as he thinks it is silly to pay $1.5 at the restaurant for a drink that costs $1 at the grocery store. We were talking about oil prices being so cheap a couple of months ago and he said that they are not cheap and it is just a way to fool people. He said oil prices were like $1.5 per gallon before 9-11 so compared to that, they're not cheap lol.
He's 27 and live with his parents (in his culture it is considered OK to live with parents). His father has a small tax and audit business and makes decent money. Their house is probably $700k and they have two luxury cars. This guy himself is a CPA I guess and works at his father's business.
Have you come across extremely cheap people in your life and what are their attributes and habits that make them cheap?
