This manlet will put up 2 plates!

My long-time lifting goal has always been to bench 225. I feel like that's the number the seperates the men from the bishes in the gym.

I'm 5'7.75'' barefoot. Round that however you want, I don't care.

The cliffs on my journey are...

-Started out in June 2011. Untrained, 175#, high BF%, bish titties, gut, chicken legs, little girl arms, neck fat, face fat, weak as fuark, etc, etc.

-Starved myself and did a lot of cardio, and by April 2012 I was back down to 135#. I remember thinking I was the man because I had a 6 pack and some cuts. Lol at how dumb I was...

-Slowly been bulking since and I'm back up to 175#, but this time I actually look like a man, minus the height part. I used to try to only eat "clean", but lately I've been stuffing my face with whatever and reminding myself that the more I weigh the more I bench. I wish I could have bulked faster, but I was still in anorexia mood where I was afraid of carbs/fat and would only want to eat whole grain stuff as my carb.

My principle on benching is this... Unrack weight by yourself with no help, slowly bring the bar down until it touches your chest, press the bar back up but don't lock, repeat until you're done. If the bar doesn't touch your chest, then the rep doesn't count. If you have a spotter that helped you, then the rep doesn't count.

Will write more on my stats later, but last bench day was last night. Did 5 sets. 200 for 5,5,4,4,4 reps.

Fyi, my lifetime max is 210 and I hit this last summer. I had to take 3 months off from the gym last fall to study for GH Core US. When I got back to the gym I was weak as fuark. Could barely bench 135. I've been working my way back for the past 5 months on a 5x5 type of method where I increase the weight by 5 pounds each week. Started at 160 and was able to hit all reps until 195 where I did 5,5,4,4,4, which were the same reps I put up the next week at 200. I figure I'm just going to keep going up by 5 pounds each week until I hit my 1RM.

This has been a hell of a journey, and I can't imagine how bad my life would have gotten if I didn't find the gym.
