Advanced Topics in CFE vs Financial Reporting

I'm trying to decide whether to work on the Financial Reporting module or Advanced Topics in CFE over the next few months. I signed up for Financial Reporting about a year ago so my registration is going to expire soon, but it's been several months since I've done any reading and, for once, notes on all of the readings seem necessary to make a good attempt on the EOM. I feel like if I keep working on FR then I'll need to start over with the very large quantity of dry reading. Yay. I'll probably have to buy an extension.



Given that I need to basically start over on FR anyway, I was wondering whether I might be able to finish the Advanced Topics in CFE module faster due to less reading and/or a more straight forward EOM exercise. I'm not asking for specifics, but if you've seen the ERM module you know it is very prescribed, which takes out a lot of interpretation but allows quick writing. FR, on the other hand, is very wide open, and will likely take a long time for me to write. I'd like to know which end of the spectrum Advanced Topics tends toward. I also do all of the reading assigned in the modules, so if there's a lot it will take me a while, and if there's less I'll be able to get through it sooner.



Any advice on which one to work on? I'll need to do them both eventually but if Advanced Topics would give me a (relatively) quick win then I'd prefer to switch to that one for now.
