Ok, so you watch golf, right you guys? Read on, it is NOT about golf.
So in golf, once you are on the green you guys, all you need to do is read the green and putt the ball into the tiny white hole. Easy enough.
Sometimes the ball will be 2 feet from the hole and sometimes 30 feet. Sometimes the ball will be on the fringe and the player will choose to putt with putter instead of using a chipping club.
Easy enough so far.
Challenge: does every ball on/around the green have a solution to the hole? That is, is there a putting shot for every ball that will lead to the hole?
I don't know the answer. What would be the line of study for this question? Geography? Topography? Land planing? And even if you were able to figure out the exact topography, would there always be an angle and a speed that would lead the ball to the hole?
