I thought it would be easier to use the formula short cut of (100-85.2)/2 to find e^o_85.2 (the exact future lifetime) and then just take that answer and subtract 1/2.
When I do that, I get an answer of 6.9... but that doesn't agree with the solution. I follow the solution, it makes sense. Both ways can't be correct though. What gives?
