I have been looking for open internships and actually found quite a few, surprisingly, even though its so late. Problem is, they all want me to apply by sending in my resume online, and I'm trying to follow the advice here and find the CA (Chief Actuary) or someone in the company to send my resume to, but I just can't.
I'll Google around trying to find that company's branch in the city the internship is in, only to find either a very generic page or no page at all. They'll show me all the hospitals they work with in the area but I can't find any info on their actuaries or who I'd be working for.
I don't want to submit my resume on one of those online systems because I get screened out 99% of the time by HR before anyone even has a chance to look at my resume, because my freshman year really ruined my GPA and although it's been good ever since then, it doesn't seem to matter.
