I had a phone screen with company recruiter, 1st interview with HR manager, 2nd interview with hiring manager (person I'd work for). I did not know this until I spoke with the hiring manager, but apparently he is supposed to select his top 2 candidates. The 2 candidates will be flown to company headquarters in Chicago, and that's when they'll make their final decision. This seems like a lot of work to get hired into an entry level position. Can't they have the hiring manager just hire the person he wants?
