While in college it might have to come down to fulfilling my Applied Statistical Methods VEE (others will automatically be fulfilled by my major) or minoring/taking several courses in computer science. I know you need VEE to become an ASA and FSA, so how would I get that validation later? Also, in general how important are programming skills in the actuarial profession?
