I have been applying for entry level jobs and on my cover letter I say "I will follow up you you in a few days to ensure you have received my resume and see if you have any questions."
I have not yet been able to reach any of the hiring managers (after calling 3 times in one case). I understand hiring people are busy. Is it okay to leave a voice mail with a small pitch about how interested I am in the job and why I am an asset. Or should I keep trying to reach them over the phone?
