I have thought that it is not necessary.
However, a friend of mine who is an actuary warned me (who has no degree related to math but others) that if you do not have a math-related degree, some HR people will directly throw my Resume into trash cans no matter how many exams you passed. An experienced HR may not but some HR may be. Or my resume will be filter out by machine.
How do you guys think?
