My 10-year-old daughter has a taste for somewhat dark humor. She has asked for Happy Bunny stuff this year, but there's not a ton of interesting things out there. She enjoys Roald Dahl, and Shel Silverstein. She also likes to write parodies of popular songs; and she loves to draw.
She seems to have excellent spatial skills and I always try to push building toys on her (K'Nex, Snap Circuits, Erector, etc. ) but she loses interest quickly. So I'm trying to figure out how to encourage her other interests. I was thinking about introducing her to Charles Adamms, and/or Edward Gorey but a lot of that is a bit adult.
Any ideas?
